Hello to all who are reading this – my very first blog post! I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be crowned Miss Teenage Victoria 2015. This experience is surreal and definitely a top highlight in my life. I am excited for this amazing journey and the great opportunity we have to make our mark in this world and hopefully raise awareness for the things that matter most to us. For me that is supporting disadvantaged and/or sick children. Every child deserves to be happy. This year with my title as Miss Teenage Victoria I will be doing my best to raise money and help this cause by volunteering and doing events around BC.
How about I tell you a bit about myself! First off I was born and raised in Victoria, BC and live here with my amazing family. I have an older brother and a younger sister. Both of my siblings play hockey so I have grown up spending lots of time at the rink. We also have a very lovable dog named Bear – he is a 3 -year old Multipoo. He can be a bit crazy at times but equally as lovable – just like the rest of us! lol
My passion is dancing. I eat, sleep, breath and live for dancing. I started when I was three years old and this year marks my 15th year. I love all styles of dance including Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Pointe, Tap, Hip-hop, Musical theatre etc! I belong to a dance company and hip hop crew which I will be competing in this year.
I also dance in the Advanced Dance Academy at my high school and this year I also was dance teaching assistant. I love choreography as well – and I was very proud when the students I was working with this year performed dances I choreographed.
My dance company is like my second family. We have made so many amazing memories that could last us a lifetime. We always have so much fun together!
When not dancing,I can be found at the gym working out or hiking the trails near my home. I love to be active and outdoors! Health and fitness energizes me and keep me feeling amazingly alive.
Also on top of my dancing and school schedule I am currently balancing a part time job as well! I have been working as a Hostess for Milestones for about two years now. I have learned so much and enjoy every minute with my wonderful staff.
I will be graduating from high school in June and I have already been accepted to attend College – where I plan to pursue becoming a pediatric registered nurse. I will be following in my mom’s and grandmother’s footsteps because they are both nurses as well.
I am so unbelievably excited to be given a chance of a lifetime as Miss Teenage Victoria 2015 and the opportunity to compete at Nationals this August for Miss Teenage Canada. Thank you once again for reading my post and please follow my journey through this next year and also if you liked my post don’t be afraid to give me some feedback<3
